I met Eliza once at Shands and it was a very memorable experience knowing this little girl. I still remember vividly how she waved at me that day. Anyway, after Christmas we went to Destin for a few days and I wrote Eliza's name on the beach and took a picture of it (actually, a few pictures). I am going to post in FB and see how many people can come up with Eliza's sighting. I'll make a point of doing that next time when we travel. Hope to meet you one day on a happy occasion.
LarryUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03432696984017969972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1562781412942324149.post-18079154338283830672010-04-10T19:22:42.686-04:002010-04-10T19:22:42.686-04:00Sara, I miss her, too. The young man in the No. 27 FSU lacrosse jersey was tall, built like Jonathan, and had a head full of dark, curly hair. I could not take my eyes off of him. I cried. Later, at the grocery store, I saw a little girl with strawberry-blond hair and vivid blue eyes. I couldn't take my eyes off of her either. To use a phrase your sister uses, "God winks." They were both God winks.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14503465521978040148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1562781412942324149.post-70055584108879197802010-04-10T09:33:22.306-04:002010-04-10T09:33:22.306-04:00Karen, this is beautiful. And, while I rejoice with what we did have with Eliza (and it was SO very much!), that just multiplies the agony we are suffering now. I miss her SO very much. Thank you for this lovely tribute. It resounds with Eliza's notion that we live every moment fully -- and love and revere with gratitude every minute of it. We don't know what the future holds for any of us, we can only pray and work for the best, and hold the ones we love close.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15652769746229919966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1562781412942324149.post-8442912348287358462009-12-27T03:13:01.294-05:002009-12-27T03:13:01.294-05:00This is a beautiful message, Karen.

I have experienced the loss of two parents and know that pain, but cannot comprehend the pain of losing a child.

Kathy Keiffer
12/27/09, 3:10amUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13330164825651697232noreply@blogger.com
